Craig Edward Hixon, 77, passed away on June 29, 2024, in Tampa, FL. Born on November 4, 1946, in Indianapolis, IN, he was the son of the late Claude Edward and Luella Hixon.

Craig proudly served in the US Marines from March 1968 to July 1974, displaying commendable dedication and resilience. After his military service, he channeled his discipline and leadership into entrepreneurship, founding several successful brick paver businesses. His work significantly beautified and contributed to the infrastructure of the Tampa Bay area.

He attended North Central High School in Indianapolis, IN and furthered his education by attending Indiana and Ball State Universities, which equipped him with the skills needed to pursue his entrepreneurial ventures.

Craig is survived by his four children, Craig (Julie) Hixon, Duane (Rebecca) Hixon, Megan (John Gilbeaux Jr.) Hixon, and David (Kamila) Hixon; his sister, Linda (Dan) Berghold; and brother, John (Peggy) Hixon. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Christopher, Connor, Cayden, Kalynn, Pamela, Ethan, Avery, Max, Stuart, Benjamin, and Jacob. A great granddaughter, many nephews and a niece.

Cremation will be handled by Cremations of Greater Tampa Bay. Craig's life was marked by his steadfast work ethic, service to his country, and devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
